Abstract

Transcutaneous oxygen tension (Tc PO2) monitoring was known to be an effective determinant for evaluating critical limb ischemia (CLI). However, Tc PO2 could be changed according to the pt's lower extremity position, either leg horizontal or down position. We evaluated whether there are differences in Tc PO2 results according to patient (pt)'s leg position and impact of TcPO2 results on procedural success, complications and midterm clinical outcomes in CLI pts undergoing percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA).
