Abstract

This study aims to discuss the right to education and the reality of public educational policies in Brazil. It was seen that education for all is a goal that is gradually being achieved; however, the main and most difficult core is to reach half to guarantee the quality of teaching, that is, the provision of an efficient educational service. At the end of the study, it was concluded that it is not enough to include in the Constitution and infraconstitutional legislation, the right to education; public policies must be implemented to ensure this right. Thus, it is the time to dialogue, get to know, exchange experiences, build new models and break with the current paradigms of a weakened educational model, which still needs profound reforms.
