Abstract

Contrast-induced nephropathy (CIN) requires a prolonged hospital stay and represents a powerful predictor of poor early and late outcome. The recent guidelines to prevent CIN recommend intravenous volume expansion with saline solution. However, the continuous hemofiltration (CHF) also may be an effective treatment.
