Abstract

Connective tissue growth factor (CTGF) has been associated with several disease states, such as atherosclerosis, diabetic nephropathy, or systemic sclerosis. Single nucleotide polymorphism G-945C (rs6918698) localized in the promoter region of the CTGF gene has been shown to have an influence on gene expression. The aim of our study was to analyze this functional polymorphism in patients with acute coronary syndromes.
