Abstract

The study of creative plaswood printmaking guidelines aimed to explore the artists’ attitudes toward identity learning on plaswood creative work. This research employed qualitative research approach and completed data collecting through in-depth interview and questionnaire interview. The 17 samples comprised 1) visual art artists, 2) woodcut artists, and 3) printmaking youth artists. Statistical analysis for this investigation included frequency, percentile, mode, median, and quartile range. The results showed that there were several connections between artist’s identity and plaswood creation including: the attitude on identity expression in plaswood creative work, the plaswood printmaking creative process, the developed unique style of creative printmaking technique process. These outcomes derived from all artists’ creative methods will be beneficial for personal printmaking development and further printmaking study.
