Abstract

AbstractThe chapter sets out to explore the significance of ‘creative enterprise’ and ‘the cultural industries’ in the rural economy. It does this by providing a case study of two drystone wallers, based in North Yorkshire, a region of the UK. By so doing, it demonstrates how creative enterprises in the rural economy can be conceptualised to aid understanding, further research and development.KeywordsArtisansDrystone wallersNorth YorkshireUKCreative enterprisesRural economy
