Abstract

Polarization and electromagnetic properties in artificial multiple helix structures areinvestigated. It was found that on increasing the numbers of helical backbones, resulting in higher values of chirality index, a unique beam splitting behavior isobserved. These split left and right circularly polarized waves provide oppositerefractive index broad passbands, propagating within the structure with very low loss.
