Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is gaining a lot of momentum in recent times in almost all walks of life. The unfolding of AI programs over the years makes analysis of complex datasets and logical interpretation of it possible article introduces the applications of AI in dentistry and further aims to emphasize the various applications specific to the field of Periodontics and Implantology. From helping the dentist interpret dental radiographs and clinically evaluate patients more efficiently to helping the dental students hone their hand skills, the possibilities are immense. Currently in clinical dentistry, AI is still a fantastic idea on paper, but with greater research and financial backing, it can most certainly be our reality in the near future.
