Abstract

In the news and science fiction, artificial intelligence and machine learning have always been hot topics. They've recently received increased media attention due to technological improvements in deep learning and the availability of more consumer-facing apps. Although the phrases machine learning and artificial intelligence are frequently interchanged, there is a distinction. Artificial intelligence is concerned with the concept of “intelligent.” Regardless of the underlying approach or algorithm, an A.I. system aims to act as if it has human intelligence. The emphasis in machine learning, on the other hand, is on “learning.” Without a person directly programming the knowledge, the system is attempting to learn something from the data. The expert system, for example, was one of the first A.I. achievements. An expert system is one in which the knowledge of a specific topic is put down as rules and directly programmed into the code, allowing the system to respond to questions and complete tasks as if it was a domain expert. This system may appear to have some human intelligence, but it isn't “learning” from data. As a result, this system can be classified as an artificial intelligence (A.I.) system rather than a machine learning system [5]. Artificial intelligence is becoming more widely recognized as a new mobile platform. Because of the large amount of data produced by gadgets, sensors, and social media users, the computer can learn to recognize patterns and make reasonable predictions. The usage of machine learning and its approaches are discussed in this chapter. Deep learning, which many prominent I.T. providers are using, should also be clarified and debated. Robotics, Artificial Intelligence (A.I.), and Machine Learning (ML) are pushing the limits of what machines can achieve in the software and hardware industries. Automation and innovation have taken them a long way from being a fiction of someone's vision in science-fiction movies and novels to augment human capability (cutting the danger of human errors) in accomplishing jobs faster, more precisely, with more perfection each time.
