Introduction

In the paper entitled “Solving two-dimensional HP model by firefly algorithm and simplified energy function,” Y. Zhang et al proposes a new method for surface defect detection of photovoltaic module based on independent component analysis (ICA) reconstruction algorithm. The proposed training algorithm is based on an extended Kalman filter (EKF) improved using particle swarm optimization (PSO) to compute the design parameters.
