Abstract

Objective To investigate the clinical effects of artificial femoral head replacement and total hip arthroplasty in the treatment of femoral neck fracture in the elderly. Methods One hundred patients with femoral neck fracture in Dongying Shengli Hospital from January 2017 to January 2018 were selected. According to treatment methods, they were divided into control group and observation group, with 50 cases in each group. The control group was treated by artificial femoral head replacement, while the observation group was treated by total hip replacement. And the clinical effects of the two groups were compared and analyzed. Results The excellent and good rate of functional score in the observation group was higher than that in the control group; the data of clinical indexes in the observation were superior than those in the control group; and the incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was lower than that in the control group; the differences of above data between the two groups were statistically significant (P all<0.05). Conclusions Compared with artificial femoral head replacement, total hip replacement in the elderly patients with femoral neck fracture has the advantages of high effective rate, less postoperative complications, higher treatment satisfaction. So it is worth promotion and application in clinical. Key words: Artificial femoral head replacement; Total hip arthroplasty; Femoral neck fracture; Elderly
