Abstract

An Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) control method of heuristic algorithm is developed for the control of the continuous stirred tank reactor (CSTR) considering two stable points of steady state. It assures the ability of output signal tracking by designing the pole placement in the closed-loop feedback. The parameter estimation can be identified well using ABC control along with wider range of pole placement coefficient. The simulation shows that the ABC control approach is able to identify the parameters and produce a superior control as compared to the adaptive control scheme based on Recursive Least Square (RLS). The results show that the estimate as the coefficient of pole placement increasing up to 5 provide a perfect output signal tracking ability.
