Abstract

A new method for the analysis of the organization of constructs in the cognitive structure is developed. It is based upon the correlations between constructs. It differentiated significantly an obsessional neurotic group from a normal control group. The normal conceptual structure is ‘articulated’ comprising two or more relatively independent clusters joined by a linkage cluster. The obsessional conceptual structure is non‐articulated, being typically ‘monolithic’ or ‘segmented’.
