Abstract
The study is aimed at studying the importance of including youth in the formation and development of a comfortable urban environment. The research was carried out using textual content analysis of existing youth participation practices, as well as statistical data and regulatory documents. The concept of youth, its characteristics and life values have been studied. It is concluded that in the Vologda region there are no youth organizations directly involved in the development of urban space
