Abstract

As with any word, there is a history anchored in the collective unconscious. Most of them are used and accepted because they are often of banal use. Howevr, one word can lead to a difficulty. The same is true for suicide, this termis itself a taboo due to history and the conflicts surrounding this locution. Religion, especially in the Middle Ages, strongly contributed to the development of this prohibition. Its* creates uneasiness for both the one who hears it and th one who pronouces it. As a result, psychoanalysis is questioned about what may be going on behind it. The psychological suffering of the suicidal patient hides many things. The unconscious must then be questioned in order to break the grip of the taboo.
