Abstract

Objective To compare the curative effect of the arthroscopy auxiliary minimally invasive surgery and traditional open reduction internal on tibial plateau fracture. Methods The data of patients in the fifth hospital of Deyang from November 2008 to November 2010 with tibial plateau fracture who used arthroscopy assisted minimally invasive operation or ORIF were retrospectively studied. The fracture healing time, postoperative complications and Rasmussen knee joint function score were compared between the two groups. Results In arthroscopic assisted minimally invasive operation group, the excellent and good rate was 88%,significantly better than that of ORIF group, which was 65.2%.The healing time of fracture arthroscopy assisted minimally invasive operation group, the average time was 10.5 weeks, were significantly shorter than ORIF group, the average time was 13 weeks (P < 0.05).Rasmussen knee function scores arthroscopic assisted minimally invasive operation group was 25.4,higher than that of ORIF group averaged 21.8 points (P < 0.05).Conclusions Arthroscopic assisted minimally invasive operation in treatment of tibial plateau fractures compared with ORIF has significantly less trauma, shorter healing time, can reduce the incidence of postoperative complications, postoperative recovery time, improve the efficacy in treatment of fractures of the tibial plateau. Key words: Tibial plateau fractures; Arthroscopy; Minimally invasive operation; Open reduction and internal fixation
