Abstract

1. A long term review of arthrodesis in the management of hallux valgus and rigidus is presented. 2. This is briefly compared with Keller's operation. 3. Eighty-five per cent of patients had a satisfactory result. 4. The reasons for failure and the errors in operative technique are discussed.
