Abstract

This article recorded the first reflections about the research project in development at the Postgraduate Program in Languages, Media and Art at Pontifical Catholic University of Campinas (PUC-Campinas). This paper aims to present a synthesis of the theoretical-methodological foundation and to describe the main study object. For that, this work has involved a qualitative approach, concentrated on a bibliographic survey, based on contemporary television studies, narrative and stylistic analyzes and the relationship between the media and society. The relevance of this discussion was, among several aspects, in the ability to suggest the existence of artistic powers and cultural loads in Brazilian television programs, in addition to proposing the development of theoretical perspectives and the refinement of methodological approaches for this type of interdisciplinary study.
