Abstract
This article proposes the possible documentary sources that influenced Antonin Artaud's thinking and lead him to pour his experiences -real of fictitious- into the tarahumaras' myths and rites. These sources start with the Egyptian Book of the Death, The Mayan Popol Vuh, Plato's Critias, Carlos Basauri's Monograffa de los tarahumaras, and Carl Lumholtz El Mexico desconocido among others; the esoteric studies connecting the legendary inhabitants of the Atlantis with the tarahumaras' rites also sensitized Artaud's spirit. I have tried -Flores says- to explore -if unreality can be explored- Artaud's journey to the tarahumara zone, specially the sacrifice scene carried out in the village of Norogachic.
