Abstract

Emmett's approach, role and methods have neither been formally/rigorously investigated or assessed in case of the barracks in 1990 and the Museum of Sydney in 1995, and the significance of aesthetic experience within these museums has generally been devalued and under-examined. Emmett's use of art and artifice is investigated as major and defining curatorial methods in each museum to redress the under valuation.
