Abstract

Spatial structures in extended nonlinear optical devices can display important quantum features. For example, quantum images in degenerate optical parametric oscillators (DOPO) show quadrature squeezing in the near field and Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen correlations in the far field. We present here a new kind of spatial structure induced by quantum fluctuations in the DOPO: arrays of cavity solitons.
