Abstract

Two important aspects of electrical and computer engineering (ECE) education that require increased emphasis are discussed: instruction on the topic of transmission lines, and improving the mathematical skills of ECE students. Reasons for the need for a renewed emphasis on these two fundamental areas, as well as methods for incorporating them into an already crowded undergraduate ECE program are addressed.
