Abstract

I207 order to improve the quality and service life of mechanical products, the evaluation of flatness error was studied in this paper. According to the condition of the minimum envelope zone method, the area searching algorithm was applied to the evaluation of flatness error, and the evaluation of flatness error was converted into the problem of two parameters that was $\boldsymbol{a}$ and $\boldsymbol{b}$ of the ideal plane. Through the coordinate translation and rotation method to determine the initial value of $\boldsymbol{a}$ and $\boldsymbol{b}$, and then the scope of the $\boldsymbol{a}$ and $\boldsymbol{b}$ was narrowed through the orthogonal test method, finally the $\boldsymbol{a}$ and $\boldsymbol{b}$ was determined according to the termination search condition, then the ideal plane was determined, the flatness error was obtained too. By the verification of large amounts of data, the evaluation method is simple, rapid and effective.
