Abstract

The implementation of a corporate social responsibility (CSR) program requires a focus on the management of environmental, health and safety (EHS) data, which, in turn, can bring real benefits to the operational side of the business. The most important point to remember is that a structured approach to EHS management brings day-to-day operational value and the same approach makes CSR reporting much more straightforward. Aside from the potential benefits to a business profile, an holistic CPR system can potentially better the bottom line. There is also evidence that suggest that a proactive CSR system can attract more customers and assist with the recruitment, retention and motivation of employees.
