Abstract
This study is conducted in conjunction with the computer crimes act of Sri Lanka an it evaluates the whether computer crimes act of srilanka is able to safeguard IT proffessionals and cybers crime victims in comparison to European union act for computer crimes, and provides and indepth comparison between the computer crimes act of srilanka and the European union act as well. This leads for the evaluation of the computer crimes act of Sri Lanka an identifies the pro's and con's of the act as well.
