Abstract

In “Are Norway’s Global Financial Reforms Post-Imperialist?”, Patrick Bond deals with an important international stance taken by the social democratic government of Norway, which has recently sought to challenge some of the underpinnings of the neoliberal paradigm in the realm of global finance. However, the author criticizes the Norwegian policy for not going far enough in challenging the underpinnings of Western domination through multilateral institutions. The author concludes that the Norwegian approach ultimately relegitimizes the existing system, while what is required is a new model.
