Abstract
Professional development is key to effective teaching in any subject and can be achieved through opportunities such as preservice and inservice days, national and regional conference attendance, and involvement in professional organizations. Sears, Edgington, and Hynes (2014) sought to identify how middle school physical educators access and use professional development opportunities and how these experiences affect their teaching practice.
