Abstract

Introduction: Multichannel intraluminal impedance and pH (MII-pH) is utilized to evaluate gastroesophageal reflux. Patients who undergo MII-pH quite often also undergo endoscopic evaluation. Aim: The aim of this study is to evaluate if endoscopic findings are predictive of reflux as tested by MII-pH. Methods: Our retrospective analysis was performed on 83 consecutive patients (21 males and 62 females; average age of 50 years, range 18 to 80 years) who presented to the GI lab and underwent MII-pH and endoscopy between January 2007 to October 2008.
