Abstract

AbstractThe paper is devoted to studies of a special institution of the national strategic goals implementation in the Russian Arctic – a supporting zone of development. The research goal is to evaluate economic mechanisms of activities and projects implementation in the supporting zone. The research lays emphasis on the overview of the normative legal documents that make the structure for creation and further activities of the supporting zones. The situation assessment in the Russian Arctic is based on the huge amount of municipal statistics data. The article systematizes legislative initiatives of the Arctic countries, reflecting their interests in the sustainable development. The supporting zone functioning model that includes prioritized mechanisms to attract investments and business stimulation is introduced.
