Abstract
The article presents the actions taken by the State Archives Head Office and the state archives network in the first few months of the Covid-19 pandemic. The State Archives, as institutions whose mission is to permanently preserve the testimonies of the past and ensure common access to them in order to support the development of the state and civil society, organised the action “Archives of the Pandemic A.D. 2020. Social Document Collection of Corona virus Pandemic (SARS-CoV-2)”. As a result, a unique collection of materials will be created that will comprehensively document the pandemic phenomenon in Poland. The article also indicates other activities popularising the national archival resource and activating the community around the state archival network during the social lockdown introduced as part of preventing the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus.
