Abstract
In this paper, an initial investigation is carried out on the characteristics of academic production about archives and documentary heritage in Argentina, carried out from different disciplinary fields, such as History, Archival Science, Literature, Anthropology and Political Science, among others, based on a corpus of 364 papers. After a series of conceptual clarifications, this corpus is characterized from three variables: the disciplinary profiles of its authors, their geographical origin and the main themes and approaches of this production. Finally, vacancy areas are identified in research on these issues in Argentina.
