ARCHITECTURE OF RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS IN SMALL TOWNS OF GALYCHYNA OF THE END OF ХІХ – BEG. OF ХХ CENTURY

Abstract

According to the statistical data for 2021 small towns in Ukraine form three quarters of the whole quantity of towns in the country. Significant part of Ukrainian territories accumulated in itself the whole spiritual, historical, architectural potential. Besides this such towns own touristic, recreational resources. Unfortunately, on the modern stage the part of such towns is believed to be depressive settlements with low level of business activity. But nowadays, policy of power decentralization opens the ways to revive small towns. For it they need necessary vector of changes and own local “highlight” that would give that impulse for new revival. Foreign European experience demonstrates to Ukrainian small towns creative ways concerning the transformation of such towns to attractive for investors and tourists brand with the help of culture, history, nature, traditions, etc. 
 Based on authors natural researches of around four dozens of residential buildings in small towns of Galychyna – Lviv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Ternopil Regions, architectural inheritance was analyzed, that is residential buildings in small towns of Galychyna of the end of ХІХ century – beginning of ХХ century. Author certifies that in small towns there are much bigger range of problems that do not allow fully implement the powerful potential of cultural inheritance, introduce the best monuments and objects in social life, cultural variety and development of tourist opportunities. Based on own researches, a full layer of architectural tissue of towns that can be potentially valuable factors of influence on economic, cultural development of small town in Galychyna, is detected.
