Abstract
Remarkable progress in integrated circuit technology has brought about an economical digital switching system with flexible, easy to enhance features. This has enabled introduction of new communication services such as the integrated services digital network (ISDN), HDX-10, a full-digital and distributed control switching system, adopts a functional module building block structure and hierarchical programme structure.Furthermore, HDX-10 employs commercially available in-house LSIs (microcomputer, highly integrated memory, single-channel, coder and decoder, etc.) and custom LSIs. A family of HDX-10 systems which covers a range for small to large capacity systems has been developed.
