Abstract

City character influenced behaviour while people’s behaviour determined the city’s character. As development engine, city’s biosphere and movements of life support system including architectural engagements showed intriguing dilemma in the evolution of Yenagoa . Rethink ing, rebranding and remodelling within context of ethical and cultural relativism seem inevitable to promote Yenagoa’s development along sustainable correlates to assert its relevance on nationa l and global stage. Yenagoa’s most pressing challenges run in opposite direction with governmental critical think ing. Article style is simple narrative involving literature review, judgement sampling , and quasi qualitative experimentation. Findings have policy, planning and design implications.
