Abstract

ABSTRACTConstruction of a parking lot in downtown Tucson permitted the exploration of a location, AZ BB: 13:13 (ASM), near the northeast corner of the old Spanish presidio. Archaeological testing revealed portions of the north and east wall of the presidio, as well as the foundations of a late nineteenth century house and a Hohokam pit house dating from the late Rillito or early Rincon phase, ca. a.d. 900.
