Abstract
The following report summarizes the principal archaeological activities in Cyprus for the year 1974. Substantial funds provided by the Government of the Republic of Cyprus enabled the Department of Antiquities to spend generously on museums, on the preservation and restoration of ancient monuments, on excavations, and on various other activities. Generous contributions received from the Church authorities enabled the Department to carry out the conservation and restoration of many churches and monasteries owned by the Church.
