Abstract

This letter is concerned with arbitrarily high-order energy-preserving methods for solving charged-particle dynamics. We first formulate the scheme of the energy-preserving methods and then show its energy-preserving property. Furthermore, we prove that the novel methods are of arbitrary order. A numerical experiment is carried out to show the performance of our methods in comparison with the well-known Boris method and a second-order energy-preserving method in the literature.
