Abstract

Bakshi, C.S., Singh, V.P., Sharma, B., Malik, M. and Singh, R.K. 2000. Arbitrarily primed PCR for differentiation of Salmonella enteritidis strains. J. Appl. Anim. Res., 17: 291–295. Strains of Salmonella enteritidis of avian origin isolated from Bangalore and Pune in India were analysed by Arbitrarily Primed PCR (AP-PCR), which generated eight different patterns and enabled the discrimination among them. It was concluded that the technique could be of use in the epidemiological studies of S. enteritidis strains.
