Abstract

This study aims at examining the Arabic speaking skills self-efficacy perceptions of the students of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature studying at Kafkas University. 200 students selected by the simple random sampling method participated in the research in which the survey model was used. The "Self-Efficacy Scale for Arabic Speaking Skills" developed by Yeşilyurt (2015) was used as a data collection tool in the study. The Cronbach Alpha reliability coefficient of the scale which is one-dimensional is 91. The reliability coefficient calculated within the scope of this research is 85 and the scale used accordingly is reliable. According to the findings of the study in which the SPSS package program was used for data analysis, it was determined that the perceptions of Arabic speaking skills self-efficacy of the students of the relevant department did not change according to age and grade level, but significantly changed according to gender and academic average. At the end of the study, suggestions were made based on the results.
