Abstract
The dicarboxylate ligand in the title compound, [Mn(C9H6O5)(C12H8N2)2(H2O)]·4H2O, coordinates in a monodentate manner to the MnII atom through the carboxylate group on the benzene ring. The two O atoms in the octahedral configuration around the MnII atom are cis to each other. Extensive hydrogen bonding leads to a three-dimensional network.
