Abstract
Discussion of physics in international education, consideration of the professional careers of women in physics and celebration of 50 years of electron spin will highlight the annual joint meeting of The American Physical Society and the American Association of Physics Teachers. The so‐called “New York meeting” will take place during 2–5 February, and the headquarters of the meeting will be the New York Hilton. Advance registration will take place on Sunday, 1 February from 5:00 to 10:00 pm, and regular registration will begin at 8:30 am on Monday, 2 February.
