Approximation of the fractional order transfer functions with integer order transfer functions

Abstract

This paper discusses the method for approximation of fractional order transfer functions with integer order transfer function using Generalized Laguerre functions. The method described in this paper tries to find transfer functions with similar impulse responses. In the end of this paper results are demonstrated in one example.
