Abstract
I. In [I] a method was shown for approximating an analytic function of one complex variable by polynomials in the Mittag--Leffler star that arises in connection with generalized summation of series. In the present article this problem is treated for functions of two complex variables. Without touching the problem of generalized summation of series, we shall only adduce a result of [I] needed by us, and somewhat complete it for our purposes.
