Abstract
Starting from Naghdi's bidimensional shell model we build rst a mixed variational formulation that gives directly the equilibrium equation of the shell's trans- verse shear. In order to build the discrete formulation, we also consider an approximation of the map describing the geometry of the shell. Existence and uniqueness of the solution of the continuous and discrete problems are proven. Error estimations are established at the end. Mathematics Subject Classication
