Abstract
Abstract In this paper we present approximate eikonal-type formulae which describe the scattering from an infinitely long homogeneous right-circular cylinder for arbitrary ϱ in the limit |m − 1| → 0 for both polarizations. Here ρ is the relative refractive index of the cylinder and ϱ is the phase shift suffered by the central ray.
