Abstract

Evidence for a dynamical symmetry describing the electronic states in the first series of hydride diatomic molecules is presented. The symmetry applies to the energy spectra of the whole set of molecules with small rms deviations. This is the first instance of a dynamical symmetry in electronic molecular spectra.
