Abstract

This paper study the general K-user MIMO interference channel with M antennas at each transmitter and N antennas at the corresponding receiver. Interference counteraction scheme is proposed to improve the entire achievable rate of such channel under the assumption that the global channel state information (CSI) is available to the receivers. Comparing with some of the existing interference alignment approaches, the proposed scheme performs better in terms of resisting the correlation of transmitters and accommodating interferences, if only the constraint on degrees of freedom (d≤min{N−2,N(N−1)K−1}) is provided. The performance of interference counteraction scheme is also discussed for the situation with channel estimation errors. Simulation results show that the novel scheme is robust at low and medium SNR when CSI is imperfect.
