Abstract

The relevance of assessing the degree of modern development of the territory is associated with the need to develop a methodology for assessing the total anthropogenic load in landscapes over historical time, which is due to the further development of historical geoecology. The modern development of a region of any rank, expressed in quantitative terms, indicates the total degree of involvement of the territory (as a resource) and each type of resource in the economy of the region. In connection with the degree of modern development, the degree of anthropogenic transformation of geocomplexes is also directly dependent. A scientifically based approach to the intensive development of the resource base of the region is based on the knowledge of the history of the formation and development of landscapes, on complex landscape studies of the territory, which make it possible to assess their modern development and determine the main ways of using natural resources. The modern development of the territory is directly related to the state of the landscape, ecological and natural resource potential of the region. The degree of development of the territory also determines the ecological capacity of the landscape, which is measured by the ability of the landscape to provide the population living in it with the resources necessary for life. In addition, a quantitative assessment of the development of the territory is necessary to calculate the current anthropogenic load, or rather, it can be included in the formula for calculating the total intensity of the anthropogenic load.
