Abstract
Road culverts made of metal corrugated structures are increasingly used in the transport construction of Ukraine. One of the main factors affecting the durability of a road culvert is corrosion of the metal of the pipe itself. Corrosion damage is an extremely important problem and requires an appropriate response at a very early stage of development. In most cases, damage is irreversible, especially when it occurs from the soil side. The determination of durability must also take into account maintenance costs, which must be considered in relation to the cost of replacing the structure. The article considered the influence of the environment on the corrosion of a road culvert made of metal corrugated structures and proposed an approach for determining the reliability and durability of a road culvert.
