Abstract

In this paper, we study the fuzzy multi-attribute decision making problems with preference information on alternatives, in which the attribute values and the preference values given by the decision maker(s) are in the form of triangular fuzzy numbers, and the information about attribute weights is incomplete. We develop two approaches to solving fuzzy multi-attribute single-person decision making problems and fuzzy multi-attribute multi-person decision making problems, respectively. To do so, we establish two simple linear goal programming models based on all the given decision information, by which the vector of attribute weights can be obtained. We utilize the simple additive weighting method to aggregate the decision information, and then rank all the alternatives. Finally, an illustrative example is given.
